Am I Safe After Visiting a Suspicious Website?

Hey everyone, I need some help figuring out if I'm safe after visiting the GMER website, which is supposed to be official for anti-rootkit tools. When I loaded the page, it seemed really strange, almost like a Google error page – like a 403 or 404. There were a lot of exclamation marks in the title, and it might have said something like "Warning!1!11!!!1". I didn't click on anything and closed the page right away because it felt off. Plus, it warned me that the connection was not secure. I found the link through Wikipedia. Am I okay after this? Is the GMER website malicious? By the way, I'm using Windows.

I’m glad you left the site! It’s always better to err on the side of caution. Sharing links can be risky too, but good job! Just keep your antivirus up to date and run a scan to be extra safe.

Thanks! I was careful not to post the link to avoid any issues.

You're definitely fine! It sounds like you didn't interact with anything on the site, so there's no need to worry. Just be cautious about visiting URLs that seem odd in the future. If in doubt, always trust your instincts!
