I'm having trouble with my ASUS WiFi adapter. There's no WiFi icon showing up on my computer, and it appears as hidden in Device Manager. I've already tried quite a few steps, including updating and uninstalling the driver, downloading the latest driver from ASUS (but it doesn't run), checking that the WiFi is enabled in BIOS, running system scans with no issues found, and making sure the WLAN service is set to automatic. I also reset the network settings.
Here are my specs:
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi II
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
- GPU: RX 6700 XT
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4 3200
- OS: Windows 11
- WiFi Driver: RZ608 WiFi 6E 80MHz
The network driver reports a device status of "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)." Any suggestions on what else I can try to get my WiFi working?

Just a heads up, if you go for a dongle, just make sure to choose one that’s good quality. Lots of users have had success with them as a quick fix. But if you think your motherboard might still be under warranty, it's worth checking into an RMA instead!
I totally feel your pain! My ASUS WiFi radio failed similarly. I did all the same troubleshooting steps you did, and in the end, I had to resort to running a really long Ethernet cable, which is a pain. I’m considering just getting a USB WiFi dongle since they’re affordable (like $20-30). That could be an easy fix if your board has physical issues. Have you thought about reinstalling Windows? Sometimes a fresh start can help, even though it’s a hassle!
Honestly, it sounds like you've already done a lot of troubleshooting, so getting a WiFi dongle might be your best bet right now. It seems like your adapter could be physically broken, especially if you're still seeing the hardware disconnected message. You might also check if you can RMA your motherboard since this model has been known to have WiFi issues.
