I'm a casual gamer planning to play some new and upcoming games at mid to high settings, and I'm looking for the best budget graphics card currently available. My budget is capped at $300. Any recommendations?

What resolution are you gaming at? That can really change what card might be best for you. If you're aiming for 1440p, you might want to save a bit more for a better option.

For brand new options below $300, look into the 3060 (12GB), B580 (12GB), or the 7600 XT (16GB). Avoid going for anything with 8GB or less VRAM if you want to keep up with newer titles.

Have you checked the RTX 5060? Right now, you can grab one for about $279.99 at retailers like B&H. It's a good option for 1080p and even decent for 1440p gaming!

If you're on a budget, you might find a used RTX 3080 on platforms like Facebook Marketplace, but I wouldn't recommend older cards for long-term use. Instead, consider the 9060XT. It’s a newer model with a better power draw and warranty, worth the extra few bucks!

I agree, the 9060XT is a solid choice. Plus, it has better longevity compared to older models.

Don't overlook Intel GPUs either! They have some budget-friendly options now that could fit well within your budget.

For around $300, both the RTX 5060 and RX 7600 are solid choices. The 5060 typically outperforms the 7600, but if you have a bit more to spend, the 5060 Ti is great for a better gaming experience. If you can stretch your budget to about $380, I’d suggest the RX 9060XT for double the VRAM.
