I'm building a PC for gaming and 3D modeling, using software like Blender, Substance Painter, and ZBrush. My friend suggested the Ryzen 9 9950X, but I'm curious about cheaper alternatives that still perform well in both gaming and productivity. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

What price range are you aiming for? The 9900X3D is a bit cheaper than the 9950X while still handling games and productivity well with its 12 cores. If you want a solid balance, it might be worth considering!

You could also look into Intel options like the Ultra 7 or Ultra 9 CPUs. They offer strong performance at gaming and productivity for less than the Ryzen 9 CPUs right now.

Honestly, the 9900X3D isn’t the best choice. The 9700X3D is comparable for gaming, and the 9950X is better for rendering. Check out the 9800X3D if you're really into gaming, or get the 9950X3D if you want the top-tier blend of both.

If you're focused on gaming, the X3D CPUs will give you great performance, but for 3D modeling as well, consider the Ryzen 9 9900X3D or even the 9950X3D. If you're looking to save some money, you could opt for a standard CPU, especially since higher resolutions don't always need the X3D's extra power. If you want an easy recommendation, the 7800X3D is a solid pick. It's capable for both gaming and rendering.

Ultimately, I'd say go for the fastest CPU you can afford, even if it’s from the 7000 series. More cores mean you can get tasks done faster. If budget's tight, a 9700X should suffice.
