Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on which GPU to choose for my very first gaming PC. After years of gaming on PS4, I think it's time to make the switch. I'm planning to play Sons of the Forest at 1440p and I'm aware that I'll need a decent GPU for that. I'd be okay with not hitting super high FPS as I prioritize graphics. Here's a list of GPUs I'm considering along with their prices (I'm based in Croatia):

- RX 9060 XT 16GB - 440 €
- RTX 5060 Ti 16GB - 500 €
- RTX 5070 12GB - 610 €
- RX 9070 16GB - 640 €

The RX 9070 XT is out of my budget, but if absolutely necessary, I might have to stretch for it. I'd really appreciate any and all input on this! Feel free to suggest other GPUs I may have overlooked.

What CPU are you pairing with your GPU? If you can stretch your budget a bit, it's wise to go for the best option you can afford. Personally, I recommend either the RX 9060 XT or the RX 9070. The VRAM will keep you covered for a while. Just a heads-up though, the RTX 5070 has less VRAM at 12GB, so it might not be ideal in the long run.

I'm using a Ryzen 5 7600X.

The RX 9060 XT is a solid choice—great value and performance! If you prefer Nvidia features, go for the 5060 Ti. The RX 9070 non-XT is also an excellent option, but ask yourself if it's really worth the extra cost for the performance increase.

I am leaning towards Nvidia because I’ve read it outperforms the 9060 XT. This post was to see if it’s worth it to stretch for the 9070.

The RX 9060 XT is a great value pick, closely matched with the 5060 Ti, especially for its ray tracing capabilities. Just be cautious with the RTX 5070, as it's less capable compared to the 9070 while offering less VRAM.

You can't ignore DLSS though! The 5060 Ti, even for an extra 60 euros, is definitely worth it for the performance boost in newer games.

Definitely consider the RX 9070. It performs excellently at 1440p and can handle most games on ultra settings without breaking a sweat.

I'd say go with the RX 9070 XT! Mine runs cool at 50°C and plays everything on max settings. You can find it for around 540 pounds on Overclockers.

But I've seen some complaints about games not supporting certain features, so just keep in mind you might have to sacrifice quality or FPS with newer titles.

If you're not opposed to using upscaling, the 5060 Ti will keep you running most games on 1440p for a while. However, the RX 9070 gives you that extra VRAM and performance, which could be beneficial down the line.
