Hey there! I'm looking to spruce up my PC audio setup. Currently, I have the HyperX Cloud Alpha headset with its built-in mic, but I recently bought a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3rd gen) and an MXL 990 mic, which I got for a good deal. The problem is that my HyperX headset doesn't utilize the Scarlett, and the MXL 990 is picking up way too much background noise, like my keyboard clacking, which isn't great for gaming or online meetings. I'd like to keep using the Scarlett but am open to changing the other gear if needed. I'm looking for good recommendations for headphones or a microphone that would suit my needs. Also, if you think a decent gaming headset with a built-in mic would be a better fit, I'd love to hear that too. I'm mainly using this setup for gaming and work meetings, and my budget is around 150 to 200 euros. Thanks in advance for any tips!

If your condenser mic picks up too much background noise, a dynamic mic might be a better fit for you. They're less sensitive and won’t pick up sounds from further away, which could help with the noise issues you’re experiencing. Plus, positioning it closer to your mouth (1-3 inches away) will give you clearer audio without all that background interference!

That makes sense! Do you have a specific dynamic mic in mind that I could check out?
