Hey folks, I'm looking to set up a micro PC, something with either an i5 or i7 processor and around 32GB to 64GB of RAM. The goal is to offload some tasks from my Synology NAS, but I'm not looking to break the bank. Can anyone suggest which generation of i5 or i7 would be the most cost-effective choice? Thanks in advance for your help! 😊

I actually run all my applications on an older Dell 3050 micro PC with an i5-6500T and 32GB of RAM. It's maxed out but it works great for me! Plus, it has enough space for both an NVMe and a SATA SSD. You might find that an older i5 like this can still handle your needs without killing your budget!
That's good to know! I didn't realize the older models could still be effective. Thanks for sharing!
