Hey everyone! I've been a Windows user for a long time and now I'm ready to make the jump to Linux. I'm selling my 3090 to upgrade to a 9700xt, which feels like the perfect opportunity to explore Linux. Besides gaming on Steam, I also like to emulate games with Eden. I'm comfortable with the command prompt, though I haven't used it much in Windows, and I enjoy tinkering and learning new things. I have an i5-14600KF, and I heard there might be some compatibility issues with NVIDIA cards. I'm looking for recommendations on which Linux distribution would be best for me!

Another great option is MX Linux. It's known for excellent performance and a user-friendly system management toolbox.
For a great balance of ease and gaming, I'd suggest trying out Pop!_OS. It's built for gaming and has solid support for GPU drivers, making it a perfect choice for your setup.
