Best RCA to Aux Cable Brands for Old Cars?

I'm dealing with an older car that only has RCA inputs for aux connections, and I'm on the hunt for a reliable cable. I've gone through a few options from Onn and Monster but found that they break pretty quickly—sometimes within just a few weeks. I treat them carefully, plugging them in before starting my car and unplugging them after it's off to avoid any distortion.

I'm not sure if the heat from the sun is damaging them or if it's just bad luck. I always end up with static sounds between songs, or they seem to lose connection when I touch my phone to change tracks, which is super annoying. I need a cable no longer than two feet and I'm also curious about whether I should be storing it outside the car.

Plus, I'm considering a DAC from Fiio—any insights on that brand?

It seems like you're dealing with some wear and tear issues. Thin cables can easily break down if they're flexed too much, which might explain your problems. Consider getting a braided male-to-male 3.5mm cable with a right-angle connector on one end to minimize stress on the cable. You can pair that with a rigid female 3.5mm to male RCA adapter. This setup will reduce flexing and should last a lot longer. Also, try to avoid leaving it plugged in if it's getting too hot in the car! Good luck!

I'll definitely give that a shot. Thank you!
