Best Ryzen CPU to Pair with GTX 1070 Without Bottlenecking?

I'm looking for a Ryzen CPU that will work well with my GTX 1070. Ideally, it should handle slight upgrades in the future without causing any bottlenecks. My goal is to play newer games like Space Marine 2 on medium settings at around 50-60 frames per second without breaking the bank. Any recommendations?

The i7 4790 works great with the GTX 1070, but if you're leaning towards Ryzen, aim for something with at least 4 cores and 8 threads around the 4.0 GHz mark. You should see minimal bottlenecks if you choose wisely.

Honestly, anything modern will complement the GTX 1070 pretty well since it's getting older. Your current CPU, the Intel 8600, is still solid! If you’re looking for an upgrade that won't cost too much, the Ryzen 5 5600 is a reliable option. I used a similar setup recently, and it runs well on mid-tier games.

Don't stress too much about bottlenecks; focus on what fits your budget and the workload you plan to tackle. For your setup, consider the Ryzen 5 5600, 5600X, or even the 5700X or 5800X, depending on sales. If you see a great deal on the Ryzen 7600X that includes RAM, that could be worth it too, just make sure it's paired with at least 16GB of DDR5 RAM.
