Hey everyone! I recently picked up a prebuilt PC from a friend for €100, and I'm looking to upgrade it step by step without blowing my budget. My first priority is to replace the power supply to safely support future upgrades. After that, I'm thinking about upgrading the motherboard and CPU since my current setup only supports Windows 10, and its support is ending soon. Once that's sorted, I want to get a better graphics card. Can anyone suggest a good temporary CPU and GPU combo to get me through until RAM prices drop?

You might run into issues upgrading the CPU since it's a prebuilt setup. Most likely, your LGA 1151 motherboard can only handle up to the i7-7700. If you want to go further, you'll need to swap out the motherboard. For a GPU, decent two-fan cards should fit. What's your budget looking like?
I definitely think changing the motherboard is possible, though it might be tricky if they used proprietary parts. Since you mentioned this is a longer-term upgrade, I'd say keep your CPU budget under €150 and aim for around €600 for the GPU. That way you're covered until prices stabilize!
