I'm looking for solutions to set up remote browsing for our offshore customer service team who need to access geo-restricted websites that are locked to the USA. The CEO thinks it's a brilliant idea to manage services overseas, but we're running into some challenges. While we've been using Private Internet Access (PIA), the full computer VPN disrupts our softphone service. Ideally, I want a solution that can provide a US IP without reconfiguring personal devices in a foreign language. What's the easiest way to enable browsing while navigating these restrictions?

I have to say, your CEO sounds a bit misguided with this whole offshore move!
Good old remote desktop solutions could work here. Alternatively, a reliable VPN should suffice. But keep in mind that the offshore team should already know how to use a VPN for accessing non-local sites. It’s just another tech challenge, right?
Proxing their web traffic could be far simpler. It avoids the complexities associated with VPN setups.
Yeah, but I’d rather keep personal devices off the corporate network. I've tried several zero trust VPNs, but they’re pretty complicated to set up.
Have you checked out KASM Workspaces? It might offer the solution you need for virtual browsing. Here’s the link: [kasmweb.com](https://kasmweb.com/)
You don’t really need to put the offshore team on a full VPN. Instead, consider using a selective proxy in their browser. A SOCKS proxy could do the trick, and just make sure you’re proxying the DNS through it as well. If you’ve got an SSH server set up in the USA, you can set up a SOCKS proxy that they can connect to.
Using a VPN breaks the softphone we need for calls, though. It’s more like a choice between having a phone or accessing the sites.
