Bitlocker Issues After BIOS Update on My Lenovo Laptop

I've been dealing with a frustrating issue for weeks now. After a recent BIOS update on my Lenovo laptop, which had Bitlocker enabled with hardware encryption on two partitions, I've run into a problem. While both partitions were initially unlocked, I can't seem to lock the system partition again through the Windows 11 interface. It keeps throwing the error "parameter is incorrect". I can lock the data partition, but that's not sufficient for my needs. If anyone has suggestions for resolving this without having to format everything, I would greatly appreciate it.

BIOS updates can really mess with Bitlocker since a lot of internal changes occur. My best advice would be to always keep a solid backup of your important data. If things go south, you might end up having to reinstall your OS and restore your files.

Did you ensure Bitlocker was turned off before performing the BIOS update? It's usually a good practice to disable it during firmware updates to avoid these kinds of problems.

I didn't turn it off because I thought the Lenovo utility would handle it for me based on what I read.

What have you already attempted to fix this? I found a ton of resources when I Googled "bitlocker parameter is incorrect", including direct guidance from Microsoft. What steps have you taken so far?

I've spent hours on it. A lot of the info out there is either AI-generated nonsense or totally irrelevant to my case. I've tried using the Command Prompt, waiting for Windows updates, resetting the TPM, running checkdisk—which was fine—checking BIOS settings, and all that.
