I'm looking to build a gaming PC with a budget of around $350. I realize this is quite limited given the current market situation, but I've got some components already: two 1TB HDDs and a 128GB SATA SSD, which may be a bit slow but I can upgrade later. Here's what I've selected so far: Ryzen 5 5500 for $93, AsRock B450M-HDV R4.0 for $60, a PSU I haven't picked yet for about $40, a used RX 5700 XT for $150, and 8GB of DDR4 RAM for roughly $30. This brings my total to $373. Are there any changes you would recommend? Also, what wattage PSU should I go for?

For your PSU, I'd recommend at least a 550W, but 650W would be safer, especially if you're sticking with the 5700 XT. You should be able to find some decent used ones for around $40. Just a thought – consider an RX 6600 or RTX 3060 as they draw less power and might be priced similarly to the 5700 XT.

I was thinking the same! A 650W 80+ new PSU for $40 sounds like a good deal to me. I get why you're apprehensive about used PSUs. I’m still a bit on the fence about the GPU choice since the 5700 XT is solid.
