I'm currently living in Australia but I brought my laptop from America. I can't find a specific Australian power brick for my American laptop. I have another laptop that has a working Australian charger. I noticed that both power bricks have a universal AC input and output 19VDC. Is it safe to try using the Australian power brick with my American laptop, or should I avoid this? I've attached a picture of the power adaptors for reference.

I wouldn't risk it if the voltage and amperage aren't exactly the same. Even if it seems close, using a mismatched power supply could potentially damage your laptop's battery over time. Better safe than sorry!
Just a heads up, you might want to check the input specifications on the power bricks. Most modern chargers say 'INPUT 100-240V', which means they can handle both US and AU power systems. If they match those specs, you should be good to go!
Actually, it’s mostly fine as long as the voltage matches. You can use a charger with a higher amperage rating without any issues, as your laptop will only draw what it needs. Just keep an eye on it the first time you use it to make sure it stays cool.
From what you've described, if both power bricks have a universal AC input and output 19VDC, it should be fine to use the Australian one for your American laptop. Just make sure the connectors fit properly too!
