Hey everyone! I think my PSU might be failing and I need to replace it. I'm currently using a Corsair TX650M, but I'm having a tough time finding a new one. Most options I see are secondhand on sites like eBay, which makes me hesitant. I noticed that Corsair has a newer model, the RM650e, and I'm wondering if I can simply swap out the old TX650M for the RM650e. I'm really new to PC maintenance, so I hope this isn't a silly question. Any insights or advice would be super helpful. Thanks!

Just to clarify, are you planning to use the existing cables from the TX650M with the new PSU? It's a common concern. I'd recommend using the new cables that come with the RM650e instead. Mixing them can sometimes lead to issues, so it's probably safer to stick with the new setup.
Yes, the Corsair TX650M is a standard ATX PSU, so you can replace it with any standard ATX model, including the RM650e. It should work just fine!
Right on, thanks for the confirmation!
That's what I was wondering initially, but I've done a bit of reading and it sounds like sticking with the new cables is the way to go. I heard a story about someone frying their system by mixing them! So I guess I’ll definitely use the cables that come with the new PSU.
