Hey everyone! I picked up a Sony ICD-UX570F voice recorder during my trip to Japan, and I'm a bit confused about charging it when I get back to Europe. I know Japan's power is 100V while Europe uses 220-230V, but I've heard that many modern devices can handle different voltages. However, I couldn't find any information on the acceptable voltage range in the product manual. Also, I can charge it via USB with my laptop—will that be safe? I'm not sure how much voltage a laptop sends out for charging. Any advice? Thanks!

You definitely don’t plug it directly into the wall. Instead, use a USB charger that can handle 230V. The Sony UX570F only needs 5V for charging, so as long as your charger is compatible, you’re good!
Exactly! It doesn’t matter whether you're in Japan or Europe, the AC adapter will only send 5V to your device through the USB. So yes, you can safely use your European charger when you're back home!
