I have a 256GB Intenso external SSD and I'm wondering if I can safely remove it from its casing to install it inside my Asus ROG laptop (model GL503GE). My plan is to use it to boot Windows for about three months. Is this possible and what should I be aware of regarding compatibility and disassembly?

Absolutely, you can do that! If you're able to disassemble the SSD casing carefully, you should be able to pull out the SSD and install it in your laptop. Just make sure to be gentle while taking it apart.
It's a bit tricky. The internal setup really depends on the model of the Intenso drive. For it to work in your laptop, it needs to be an m.2 NVMe SSD. Given that the Intenso's max speed is around 500 MB/s, it might actually be a SATA drive instead. To know for sure, you might need to take it apart and check what's inside, but I couldn't find any teardown guides for this specific model.
