Can I Test My PC Without the Graphics Card?

I'm building my first PC and I've got almost everything ready to go! My components have arrived, but I'm still waiting on my graphics card (an RX 9060XT 16GB) which won't get here until the end of August because I'm in the Dominican Republic. Can I put together my PC using a Gigabyte B850 motherboard and a Ryzen 9600X processor to make sure the other parts are working? I'd love to test everything to avoid any issues before Amazon's return period ends. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! 😀

You can definitely assemble it, but just a heads up: some people recommend having everything connected to avoid potential BIOS issues later. But if you’re just testing, it sounds fine!

I would suggest waiting until you have all the components before powering it on. You could run into BIOS issues, which can be a hassle. Use this time to research your manual and prepare other aspects, like installing your OS, so you’re ready when the graphics card arrives!

Absolutely, you can test your components! The Ryzen 9600X has integrated graphics, so you’ll be able to run your PC even without the dedicated graphics card. It's a great way to make sure everything is functioning right before the return window closes.

Yep, definitely! The integrated graphics in the 9600X are enough to get you up and running. In fact, I’d recommend doing this, especially given the wait for your graphics card. Also, you might find that you can play some lighter games while you wait!

That’s a good point! I didn't realize the iGPU could handle gaming. That's a nice bonus while waiting for the RX 9060XT!
