I'm looking for advice on whether it's safe to update my Asus Prime Z690-P WiFi motherboard directly from BIOS version 2603 to version 3811. I got a message while playing Call of Duty saying my BIOS is outdated, and I should update to avoid instability issues. I've never done a BIOS update before, and I found a video that suggested I might need to go through previous versions first. Can anyone with tech knowledge clarify if it's necessary to update incrementally or if I can directly upgrade to the latest version? I'm a bit apprehensive about messing with the BIOS since I've heard it can be tricky and I don't want to accidentally break anything.

You should be good to go updating directly to the latest version. There are no requirements listed for incremental updates, according to the release notes. Just make sure to also update all the drivers from your motherboard's support page, especially the chipset drivers!

Thanks a lot! Quick follow-up—do I need to save those driver files to a USB drive like I do for the BIOS update?
