Can I use a 550W PSU with a 9070 XT?

I'm building a system with a 9070 XT and a Ryzen 7 7700 (non-X) and currently have a 550W PSU that's about two years old. I checked on PCPartPicker and it suggests I have around 30W of headroom. Should I stick with this PSU and the 9070 XT, or would it be better to opt for a different GPU and upgrade the PSU in a few months?

Honestly, I’d say go with the 9070 XT and plan for a PSU upgrade ASAP. Just keep an eye on the power limits for now, so you don't risk system crashes.

If you're looking to future-proof your setup, just go for a 1000W PSU. It may seem excessive now, but as new games come out, you're going to need that extra power. Plus, a good PSU can last a decade.

I'd definitely suggest getting at least a 750W PSU. I had mine running on a 750W and still faced issues with shutdowns during intense gaming sessions. Upgrading to 1000W made a huge difference in stability.

It's not recommended to use a 550W PSU with the 9070 XT. Most sources suggest a minimum of 750W to handle the power spikes. If you try to use your current PSU, it might shut down under load, causing problems during gaming or heavy tasks.
