Can I Use a 70W Charger with My 14″ MacBook Pro Instead of the 96W?

Hey everyone, I got my MacBook Pro 14" with a 96W charger, but I'm looking to buy a second charger for my desk. Is it okay to use a 70W charger instead? If I do, will it still charge the laptop, or will I lose the fast charging capability? Any advice would be super helpful!

The MacBook can draw around 70-80 watts if you're pushing it hard, like with bright screen settings or gaming. But for regular tasks, a 70W charger should be sufficient. If you notice that your battery drains faster than it charges, then you might want to think about getting the 96W charger or a good GaN charger that can output more power. I found a great Xiaomi one that's pretty affordable and has extra USB ports!

Yes, you can use the 70W charger, but just keep in mind that it may charge a bit slower than the 96W. It should still be fine for everyday use, though!

Will it still charge while I'm using it? Like, if I'm running a few apps?
