I've been diving into the specs and my motherboard manual, but I'm really confused about my setup. I'm running a Ryzen 7 5700G with an ROG Strix B550-F gaming motherboard, and I'm curious if I can use a Sarbrent 4-Drive NVMe to PCIe 4.0 x16 adapter while also running a GPU. I have a hunch that it might not work because of the CPU and chipset combo I've got. Also, if it does work, will the other PCIe slots and the M.2_2 slot become disabled? Would appreciate any insights!

From what I've seen, it looks like only the top PCIe slot supports bifurcation. So if you use that NVMe adapter, you'd need to plug your GPU into the lower PCIe slot, which is only PCIe 3.0 x4. That’s a significant speed drop and could definitely hit your gaming performance pretty hard.
But hey, if your setup is more for tasks like Plex transcoding rather than gaming, the slower PCIe slot might not be a big deal for you. It sounds like you're prioritizing storage speed over gaming, right?
