I'm thinking about switching my laptop to EndeavourOS for my college work since I've heard that Linux provides a better user experience than Windows, which I really dislike. Since I'm currently studying photography, Adobe Creative Cloud is essential for me. I've seen mixed information regarding its compatibility with Linux; some say programs like Photoshop 2021 and 2025 work well, while others claim there's no support at all. Can I realistically switch to Linux and still do my work? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You might find that Photoshop has some potential on Linux through tools like Wine, but it's hit or miss with other Creative Cloud applications. If you really need those software, consider dual-booting or using a virtual machine for the best compatibility. Here's a link where you can check how specific versions perform on Wine: appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=8646. It might be worth exploring some alternatives, too!
Darktable is a great alternative for photo editing! It's quite powerful, so give it a try. For Photoshop-like features, you might want to check out GIMP.
I've been hearing a lot of buzz about EndeavourOS lately! Seems like it's gaining traction since Archinstall has improved a lot. There are tons of posts popping up which is surprising. I've been messing with it in a VM for a while, and it’s pretty neat.
What’s making you switch to EndeavourOS? I thought it was overshadowed by other distros!

Thanks for the quick info! I appreciate it 🙂 I’ve also heard about a Lightroom alternative called Darktable. Is that a solid option for photo editing?
