I'm trying to figure out if I can connect my TV to my PC using an Optical Digital Audio Cable. Both my TV and PC have the necessary ports, but I'm not sure if it's a viable solution for my audio needs. I prefer using my wireless headphones (Corsair Void Pro Wireless) with my PC for watching/listening to media, but there's no direct way to connect them to my TV. Can I send the audio from my TV through my PC and into my headphones?

You might have an easier time using an optical-to-bluetooth transmitter connected to your TV’s optical output. Just pair your headphones with that instead. However, since your headphones aren’t bluetooth, this might not work for you. If you want minimal hassle, maybe look into getting a bluetooth transmitter that plugs into your TV's headphone jack instead.
Your best bet would be an optical to 3.5mm converter. This could simplify the connection without much fuss. Some suggest using RCA to 3.5mm cables directly to avoid any conversion issues, especially to eliminate delay in audio. It's often cheaper and less complex than a lot of other options you might find.
That's probably a good idea! I want to keep it simple.
Consider checking if your TV has built-in bluetooth. If it does, you could connect directly to your headphones. If it doesn't, you can use a FiiO DAC/amp to convert the audio output to analog, which should work well! Just be aware that connecting through your PC may cause audio sync issues, especially if you're looking for real-time audio with your media.
That might be tricky since my headphones are not bluetooth.
It's definitely possible to connect your TV to your PC like you described, but you could face audio sync delays, which can be annoying. If your TV has a headphone jack, consider using a bluetooth transmitter there, but again, it won't work with your non-bluetooth headphones. Depending on your setup, a simple 3.5mm to optical converter might be a straightforward solution.
They aren't bluetooth, which complicates things for me unfortunately.
Unfortunately, my headphones are not bluetooth. So that option is off the table for me.
