Can my iPhone be compromised just by opening an email?

Hey everyone! I have a bit of a concern and hope you can help me out. I don't know much about IT or hacking, and I'm feeling a little anxious. I recently checked my iCloud emails and saw one that seemed to be from Picsart, which I thought was strange since I don't have an account with them (unless I completely forgot about it). Out of curiosity, I opened the email and scrolled through it; it looked nice with images promoting some AI tools. I didn't think much of it and deleted the email right after without verifying if it was really from Picsart. Now I'm worried that just by viewing the email, something might have been compromised on my phone. Am I at risk?

So, technically you could be at risk, but practically, you’re really safe! iOS is designed to minimize these threats, and such hacks are usually targeted at high-value individuals. Don't stress too much about it—you're unlikely to encounter any issues just from opening an email.

Nope, you're good! Just opening an email shouldn't put your phone at risk. It's always smart to be cautious, but iOS is pretty secure. You don't need to worry about anything just from viewing an email.

Thanks for easing my mind! I often get emails from TikTok about account registrations, and honestly, I don't think twice about them. Just keep an eye out for anything super suspicious!
