Can someone track my phone’s browsing history through my Firestick?

I recently got a Firestick set up by a friend, and now he has the IP address of my Firestick. I'm concerned about whether he can access my browsing history or app usage on my phone if both devices are connected to the same home router, even though they have different IP addresses. My phone uses a private IP that starts with 10. What are the risks here?

No, your friend can't see your browsing history or app usage just because he has the IP address of the Firestick. Each device has its own IP address, and he won't have access to your phone unless he compromises your network or devices.

As long as your devices are connected to the same router and both have private IP addresses, he can't track your phone just with the Firestick's IP. It requires more than that, like network hacking, which is really complicated.

Even with the Firestick, he can only see what shows are watched on it if he's using his account. If it's a legit Amazon Firestick, there's minimal risk. But if it were a modified one, then he might have some access.

Just to be clear, don’t worry too much. Your private IP starting with 10 means that it’s not accessible from the outside. He might joke about seeing your streaming habits, but realistically, he can't unless he's snooping on your actual network traffic.
