Can’t Access Certain Websites and Apps After Moving

Hey everyone! I recently moved to a new place and set up my PC on the WiFi, but I'm running into some major issues. There are several websites, like those for Reddit and Riot Games, that just won't load. My PC gives me an error saying the address is unreachable. Even the Riot Games launcher is having connection problems. I've already flushed my DNS and reset my network settings, but nothing has changed. The weird part is that all these sites work perfectly fine on my phone, which is connected to the same WiFi. Any advice you could offer would be a huge help!

Have you tried changing your DNS settings? Go to your network settings, find your adapter properties, and set the IPv4 DNS to Google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Since those websites work on your phone, it sounds like a configuration issue on your PC rather than the WiFi itself. Give the DNS change a shot!

Thanks for the tip! I tried adjusting the DNS, but unfortunately, it didn't resolve the issue.

You might want to test with a free VPN like the one at 1.1.1.1. There might be a transparent proxy intercepting your connections, possibly due to content filtering. This is pretty common, especially in places with young residents.

I’d love to try that, but my computer can’t actually download VPNs. It seems I can't determine trustworthy downloads since I'm missing connections somewhere in the scanning process.
