Can’t Access My College Website on Campus Wi-Fi – Need Help!

I'm having a frustrating issue where I can't access my college's website while connected to the campus Wi-Fi. This website is crucial for accessing my student email, grades, class schedules, and assignments. Every other website loads just fine, but whenever I try to reach the college site, I get an error saying 'this site can't be reached' and that it took too long to respond. I tried reaching out to the school about this last semester, but after some back and forth, they stopped replying and I never got a solution. Last year, I managed to work around it by using my phone as a hotspot, but I'm hoping to resolve this properly. I moved in today and faced the same issue again. If anyone has any ideas or solutions, I'd really appreciate it!

You might want to clear your cache and cookies or try using incognito mode. Sometimes different browsers can have issues too, so switching that up might help. If all else fails, using your phone data temporarily is a solid workaround until the tech team can help resolve it.

I tried incognito mode and it briefly loaded but then just showed weird formatted links. Unfortunately, that didn't last long.

Your best bet is to reach out to the IT department at your school. If possible, walk in with your laptop to show them what's happening. They'll be able to figure it out or at least give you some insights on the issue.

I plan to visit them on Tuesday, thanks for the suggestion!

There's a chance that the school's website is hosted on the same public IP that's assigned to the Wi-Fi network. If that's true, it could cause connection issues. Just something to keep in mind while dealing with IT!
