Connecting Multiple Headphones to Audio for Events

I'm a farrier and often attend continuing education events where we have clinicians giving talks. I'm looking for a way to connect their microphones not just to the speakers, but also allow participants to connect their headphones for better audio quality. Does anyone have experience or suggestions on how to achieve this?

If you're open to using conferencing software, something like Teams could be a great option. With a stable internet connection, participants can join via their devices, and you can control the audio settings. It might simplify things compared to trying to connect a bunch of Bluetooth headphones directly.

An FM transmitter could work for your needs. It allows audio to be broadcasted over radio frequencies, so participants could tune in with their headphones. It's a practical solution that many have used for similar setups.

Have you thought about Assistive Listening Systems? They can handle streaming through WiFi so participants can connect their Bluetooth headphones to their own devices. This way, you get flexibility without being limited by Bluetooth's range.

For a large event like yours, you might need something more robust than basic Bluetooth. Streaming through an app could help. Use a central server to manage audio, and then participants can connect to that server with their phones and use their Bluetooth headphones.

Bluetooth is typically a one-to-one connection, which makes it tough to manage multiple headphones. You might want to consider using a radio system. There are adapters that let users connect their headphones and listen via the radio signal. It’s effective and usually has minimal delay.
