I'm thinking about upgrading from my RTX 2070 Super to the RTX 5070 12GB since the graphics card market is still pretty crazy. I'm seeing the 5070 available for $550, which is about my budget for now. I currently play at 1440p and have been using the 2070 for about 5 years. Ultra settings aren't a big deal for me, and I do some VR gaming occasionally. Should I go for the 5070, or save up a bit more for the 5070 Ti 16GB, which is around $400 more?

You might also want to consider the 9070 (16GB) or the 9060 XT (16GB) as more cost-effective alternatives.
I just switched from a 3060 Ti to a 5070 and haven’t looked back. I game primarily at 1440p with high settings and can use DLAA on most games. Sure, it struggles a bit with ray tracing, but I usually just turn it off.
The 5070 is a great option if you go for it. If the price is within reach, the 9070 XT could be better, though the 5070 Ti prices seem pretty high right now and might not change soon.
Upgrading from a 2070 Super to a 5070 is definitely a solid choice. You'll notice a good boost in performance, especially for 1440p gaming.
What are the specs of your full setup, like the power supply? If you're only changing the GPU, that's fine, but I'd be interested to know more about your system.

Just upgrading the GPU! I've got a 650W PSU, 2x 1TB NVMe drives, a Ryzen 7 3700X, and 32GB of RAM. I checked on PC Part Picker, and it's estimating max power draw of 500W. I've read that the 5070 should work fine with that PSU.
