I've been bombarded with calls from local numbers that hang up as soon as I answer. At first, I thought it was just number farming, but now I'm getting at least three of these calls every day from different numbers. This has been happening for about a year now, and I've started ignoring all calls from unknown numbers as a result. Is there a way to identify if these calls are scams and how can I put a stop to them?

Thanks for the tips, guys! This has been a problem for me as well, and it's reassuring to know I’m not alone. Last time, someone used a 'Text Now' number to do the same thing, so I was unsure if it was a similar situation. I'll definitely look into the call screening and blocking options!
It sounds like you're dealing with spam auto-dialers. A good way to handle this is by only answering calls from known contacts. Most phones have features where you can automatically send unknown calls to voicemail or even block them entirely. Both iPhone and Android have call screening options that can help you see why the caller is trying to reach you before you pick up.
If you need a specific direction, it might be good to check forums dedicated to telecom issues. But honestly, it's mostly spam. Like TechSavvy123 said, just let it go to voicemail if it's not a number you recognize. You'll save yourself a lot of frustration!
