Did I accidentally visit unsafe sites and get malware?

I was browsing on x and accidentally clicked on a fake video link that led me to some porn sites on Safari. I tried to close them, but they loaded before I could exit. I didn't enter any personal info, but when I checked my browsing history, it showed visits to 2 sketchy sites. Now I'm worried—am I okay? I already deactivated my x account as a precaution. Any advice would be appreciated!

You seem to have gone overboard with caution! The internet is full of those kinds of sites, and just accidentally landing on them isn’t a big deal as long as you didn’t give them any personal info. You’re probably totally fine; there's no immediate action needed.

Honestly, you didn’t do anything wrong. Those redirects happen all the time, and if you didn’t input any info, you're in the clear. If there was a major issue, you’d see a lot more people reporting problems. So don't worry too much about it.

It's super common to stumble onto those sites, and unless you clicked on something fishy or downloaded anything, your phone and data should be safe. Many people encounter this, and the vast majority don't end up with malware. You're good!
