Do Most Web Development Companies Prefer WordPress?

I'm currently taking a software development course where I'm focusing on web development. I've heard that many companies turn to WordPress because it makes the process faster than coding everything from scratch. Is there any truth to this? Also, should I consider learning WordPress, or is it better to focus on something else?

It really depends on the type of company. Marketing agencies and small businesses often rely on WordPress because clients need easy CMS access. On the other hand, more traditional software companies that create web apps typically use frameworks like React or Laravel. Learning WordPress can be beneficial if you're looking to do freelance or agency work, but if your goal is to build SaaS products or work at tech companies, I'd suggest concentrating on modern frameworks instead.

Webflow is another tool I've worked with. It provides a similar non-designer UX for clients, plus a developer-friendly side. Just to clarify, the projects I've been part of with Webflow are web apps.
