I've been curious about how the new 5060 Ti graphics card performs on different PCIe versions. I heard that PCIe 5.0 cards use only 8 lanes instead of the usual 16. Does that mean there'll be a performance drop when using the 16GB version of the 5060 Ti on a PCIe 4.0 slot? I found an article focused mainly on the 8GB model, but it doesn't mention the 16GB variant's performance—any insights?

I have my 5060 Ti installed on an AM4 motherboard, and the performance has been amazing! No issues at all with the PCIe connection.
The 16GB model actually fares better because it has more local memory, which means it won’t need to rely as heavily on the PCIe bandwidth. So, you should be just fine with PCIe 4.0 and won’t see much of a performance hit at all!
I've got my 5060 Ti running smoothly on a PCIe 3.0 system, and honestly, I'm only noticing a slight 2% performance hit. So PCIe 4.0 will be even better for you!
Don’t sweat it! Very few games actually push beyond 16GB of VRAM under normal settings, so the bandwidth of PCIe 4.0 shouldn't be a problem. The real issue comes up only if you run out of VRAM, which makes the 8GB card a poor choice. Your 16GB card will work great on PCIe 4.0!
If you check that article again, you'll see the 16GB 5060 Ti was also tested on PCIe 3.0, and it didn’t show any significant performance impact. So rest assured, you'll be fine on PCIe 4.0!
