I recently went through the AWS verification process and it's been really frustrating. I submitted my documents multiple times because support kept asking for the same things over and over. On February 7, I received two emails on the same day—one saying the hold on my account was removed, and another stating that documents were no longer required and to disregard any previous requests for them. However, just two days later, on February 9, I got another email saying my account was on hold again for verification and that I needed to submit documents by February 14 to avoid suspension. They told me documents weren't needed only 48 hours prior, and now I'm back to square one. It feels like I'm stuck in a loop and the support team has been really unhelpful with generic responses. With recent layoffs and AI support implementation, it seems like automation issues could be causing this confusion. Has anyone else managed to escape this type of verification loop? Is this just how AWS operates now?

Man, if there's one takeaway from this situation, it's to back up everything outside of your AWS account, especially if it's production data. Just in case anything goes south!
