I've been facing some terrible network connection problems with a latency that seems to be 200 times higher than usual. I'm wondering if this is a widespread issue with AWS in general or if it's specific to the us-west-1 region. Is there anyone else experiencing similar problems, or is it just me?

Fingers crossed it gets better soon! It’s my birthday today and I've got dinner reservations planned, so I’m really hoping there are no hitches. Everything's running smoothly on my end for now, but I'm not fully depending on it just in case.
I didn’t see any reported issues on AWS's health page. More than likely it's an issue with your ISP or somewhere along the network path to AWS.
It resolved itself a couple of hours later. I suspect there were power issues in San Francisco that caused the trouble.
