I've been having a frustrating issue with my Windows 11 setup. I have a powerful rig with an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X processor, an NVIDIA RTX 4070 GPU, and 32 GB of RAM, but for the past few months, my computer has been randomly black screening for a few seconds. This issue usually causes the applications running to crash, with Minecraft being the biggest culprit — it crashes within seconds of play. League of Legends also crashes occasionally, but I can play for longer stretches without it crashing. Interestingly, I can play other demanding games like Total War: Warhammer III without any problems. The black screen tends to occur when my PC is under strain (like during video calls on Zoom or Discord), yet sometimes it happens even with only a YouTube tab open. After a crash, my desktop background often goes black, but it updates when I hover over icons. I've worked with Windows support — they've updated my system, drivers, and BIOS, and I've run tests with no errors found. I'm unsure whether the issue could be related to my motherboard or if a specific hardware component might be failing. Any advice on troubleshooting or potential solutions would be greatly appreciated!

If your power supply is stable, try running OCCT’s VRAM test for 30 minutes. Any errors could indicate a problem with your GPU. It might help narrow down whether the GPU is indeed at fault.

Just a heads up, you might be getting those GPU notifications during League because it’s the only game trigger pointing it out. It sounds like you might be dealing with a GPU issue. I’d suggest trying out a different video cable, especially one that’s VESA rated for the DisplayPort version of your monitor.
