I'm a second-year Computer Science student and honestly, I'm feeling pretty lost. I haven't learned much and now I'm at a crossroads. I've dabbled in CS50, C++, and Java for my college courses, but I feel like I'm just floating along without a clear direction. Lately, I've been fooling myself into thinking that just doing problem-solving is enough, but I know I need to do more. I'm looking for advice on how to find a path and what I should focus on moving forward.

Seriously, put down the phone and dive back into your studies! It's easy to get sidetracked, but if you stay focused on your work, you'll find clarity. Set a schedule and stick to it so you can make steady progress.

If you're keeping up with your classes, that’s what matters. But if you want to challenge yourself, try creating side projects! You’ll pick up skills way faster than just sitting in class. Start a small website, learn some HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and maybe a front-end framework too. This hands-on experience is invaluable and will set you apart from other new grads.

Hey, don't stress too much! Focus on mastering the fundamentals of any programming language. Remember, you don’t have to be a software developer to use coding skills. For instance, I was an accountant but I learned programming to automate tasks and build useful systems. As long as you grasp the basics, you'll be fine. Lots of roles out there just need programming for maintenance and automation.

You might want to check out some FAQs or guides online before asking for help. It’s important to do some research on your own; a lot of folks seem to expect immediate answers. Just make sure you’re taking the initiative to explore what’s out there before reaching out for advice.
