I just built a new gaming PC running Linux Mint Cinnamon edition, and I'm experiencing a green screen whenever I try to launch Rocket League with Bakkesmod. I'm unsure how to fix this issue. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I just wanted to jump in and say that I had a similar experience. You might need to check your system logs for any error messages – they can give you clues. Also, make sure that your GPU drivers are properly installed and up-to-date. Sometimes, the green screen can be related to driver issues specifically. As for the kernel panic, it's a common problem, but frustrating! I'd suggest booting into recovery mode and checking your filesystem if that keeps happening. Hang in there!
I'm stuck on a kernel panic screen and can't log in at all.
Hey! It’d be super helpful to know your hardware setup, as a new PC can have various components that might cause issues. If you have a 90 series AMD card, make sure you have Mesa version 25 or higher and Kernel version 6.13 at a minimum, which aren’t usually included with Mint by default. You could try adding the kisak Mesa PPA and the mainline kernel PPA, but do a snapshot in Timeshift first just in case things go south. If you have an NVIDIA 50 series card, it should work, but updating to newer kernel versions can bring performance improvements. Alternatively, consider switching to a distro that already has these versions pre-installed, like Nobara/Fedora or Pop!_OS.
Here's my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2xNQnp. I have a 9060 XT 16GB GPU.
I followed your advice and updated to Mesa version 25 and got the latest kernel installed, but it won’t launch Rocket League.
Yeah, the kernel panic message can be tricky! Try booting into the old kernel and see if that lets you log back in to fix things.
