Having Issues with First Boot: Help Needed!

I've recently put together a brand new PC using the following parts: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Gigabyte X870E AORUS Elite v1.1 motherboard, 32GB (2x16GB) Kingston Fury RAM, and an RTX 5080 Founders Edition GPU. However, I'm stuck at a boot code '4d' on the motherboard, and despite trying various troubleshooting steps, I can't get past this point. This is actually my second motherboard attempt since the first one wouldn't power on at all. I'm really in need of some guidance on what I should do next.

A '4D' error on that motherboard usually indicates an issue with the CPU, RAM, or possibly the motherboard itself. Here are some steps you can try:
1. Clear the CMOS to reset any glitches.
2. Ensure both the CPU and RAM are properly seated and that all connections are secure.
3. Try booting with just one stick of RAM in different slots.
4. Confirm your power supply is functioning correctly and is providing enough power.
5. If you recently updated your BIOS, consider rolling it back or updating to the latest one if you haven't already.
6. Try disabling Secure Boot temporarily.
7. If nothing works, testing the components in another system could help pinpoint the issue.

I guess I'll need to explore those options. If nothing resolves it, I might just have to contact support or return the motherboard again.

AMD CPUs can be tricky with RAM. Make sure your RAM is on the motherboard's compatibility list. If it's compatible, there could be other issues going on. Have you checked that the RAM is seated correctly in the right slots?

You're right about the compatibility between the Gigabyte X870E motherboard and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. Just a heads up, you might need to update the BIOS to ensure everything is supported properly. If you're stuck and can’t access BIOS, it complicates things further.

Yeah, not being able to get into BIOS is frustrating. I'm hoping to fix this without having to send the motherboard back.
