Hey everyone! I'm trying to make the switch from Windows to Linux Mint using a 16GB USB stick, but I'm running into some issues. I've used Balena Etcher and Rufus to create the bootable USB, but when I restart my computer and access the boot menu, the USB doesn't show up. Is there a chance my USB stick is faulty, or am I possibly overlooking something? Just to clarify, I'm not planning on dual-booting; I intend to completely switch to Linux. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like a BIOS setting might be at play here. Try disabling Secure Boot in your BIOS settings, and if you see any options related to UEFI, look them up to understand what they do. This could definitely help your USB show up when you boot.
