I'm planning to build a new PC and I'm set on getting an AMD 9800x3D. However, I'm stuck deciding between the 9070 XT, the 5070 Ti, and the 5080. Is the 5080 worth the extra money compared to the others? Also, how do the 5070 Ti and 9070 XT compare? Is one significantly better than the other?

If you can afford the 5080, I'd still say go for the 5070 Ti instead. Put that extra cash into better components like a motherboard, RAM, or storage. The 5080 doesn't really make sense right now, especially since the 5070 Ti and 9070 XT perform so closely to it.
I'd suggest the 5070 Ti over the 5080 and use the savings for a nice 2K or 4K monitor instead.
Your choice really depends on the resolution you're targeting. If you're gaming at 1440p, both the 5070 Ti and the 9070 XT are great picks, and it just comes down to personal preference. For 4K gaming, the 5080 could be worth it, but I'd advise waiting for a potential 'Super' version with more VRAM that might come out.
Honestly, I always go for Nvidia if I can help it. They just tend to have better ecosystem support.
