Help! I Think My iPhone Might Have a Virus

Hey everyone, I'm really concerned because I think my iPhone might be infected with a virus. I keep getting this weird message that says 'google.calendars is not valid', and honestly, I don't even use Google Calendars. Plus, I get pop-ups telling me to download some random app that only has two reviews, both at three stars, which sounds super sketchy. It claims I need to download it because I have a virus. All the apps I find that could help check for this issue want money, and I can't afford that right now. Does anyone have any advice or solutions?

It sounds like you might have an app on your phone that's causing these pop-ups, rather than a virus. Think back to any new apps or games you might have installed before this started happening. Sometimes, they can come with adware disguised as legitimate apps. Try deleting any suspicious apps to see if that helps.

If it’s only happening while playing a specific game, that game might be displaying malicious ads to trick you into downloading other apps. Maybe try uninstalling that game and see if the pop-ups stop. Just stay cautious with any app you don’t recognize.

Another thing to check is your browser extensions if you use Safari or any other browser. Sometimes, they can cause annoying pop-ups too. You could also download Malwarebytes; it’s a solid app for scanning. Just a heads up, the free version might ask for a trial, but it’s worth it if it helps get rid of the issue.
