I've been dealing with a frustrating email issue for the past six months. My legitimate Microsoft Office email ([email protected]) keeps receiving messages that are actually intended for someone else—specifically, the email [email protected]. It's really confusing because I have no ties to that email.
These messages seem to come from various senders, many of whom are also reporting similar issues. They often involve requests for support or removal from a list, but my email isn't involved at all. Despite marking these emails as spam, nothing changes.
Shopify claims they can't help, and Microsoft suggests there's an issue on Shopify's end, but it feels like I'm running in circles. I'm looking for advice on how to stop these unwanted emails from cluttering my inbox. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Instead of getting bogged down with all these unwanted emails, consider setting up a rule in your email settings to automatically delete anything addressed to that [email protected] email. It's a quick way to keep your inbox clean.
I've seen this happen before! It could be that your email is part of a forwarding list. If you want to get to the bottom of this, try posting the complete email headers here—just remember to remove your actual address first, and I can help you trace it!
Sure thing! Here's another email I received recently without my real address being included.
It sounds like these emails could be getting sent to you as part of a BCC situation. If someone is sending mass emails and includes you in the BCC field, your address won't be visible to you. Just a thought!
That doesn't quite fit, since I'm getting specific support requests that aren't directed to me. Here's an example of one I just received!
It’s not that simple; there are tons of different senders. I doubt I'm being BCC'd in all those cases.
