I'm looking to switch from Windows 11 and need recommendations for a Linux distribution that suits my needs. I have a powerful notebook with an i5-13450H, 1TB of storage, and I usually play games on Steam, Minecraft, and use Opera GX for YouTube and emails. I also record videos sometimes using OBS. I want a distro that gets regular updates, is safe, and is good for both gaming and daily use.

Nobara or Garuda are solid options if you’re into gaming; they have good performance for that. You might want to check them out to see which one suits your needs better.
I switched from Windows to Ubuntu recently and I absolutely love it! The learning curve is there, but once you get used to it, it's smooth sailing. You might also consider Mint, but I personally prefer Ubuntu for its simplicity.
What do you like about Ubuntu compared to Mint? I'm curious!
I suggest Fedora with KDE. It’s sleek, gets regular updates, and runs really well on high-spec machines like yours.
If you're just starting out with Linux, I'd recommend going for either Ubuntu or Linux Mint. They are user-friendly and great for newcomers. If you’re more experienced, you might want to try Nobara or something similar. Given your powerful notebook, consider testing these distros using VirtualBox first to get a feel for the installation and performance.

Yeah, both are tailored for gamers and have lots of tools pre-installed.
