Hey everyone! I need some urgent help here. Recently, I got an email from AWS saying my account might have been compromised, and it included steps to secure it. However, Gmail flagged the email as suspicious, and I didn't click on any of the links. I played it safe and logged directly into my AWS account to change my password instead.
Now, my account has been suspended, and I can't proceed with any security measures since I lost access to the console. I've been trying to contact AWS support through chat all day with no luck. Additionally, both the website and email linked to my account appear to be down, so I'm really in a bind.
Has anyone else faced a similar issue? Any tips on how I can escalate this or speed up my response from AWS support would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping for some feedback here since other support methods haven't worked out. Thanks a lot!

I can relate to how frustrating this is! If you want, I can look into this for you. For your privacy, make sure to send me your case ID directly.
Changing your password isn’t enough if your account's been compromised. If you received an email about the compromise, it likely had specific steps you needed to follow. Ignoring those could lead to issues like leaking access keys. AWS will probably want to see that you've completed their recommended actions before they'll reinstate your account.
It’s usually a good idea to create an admin user and keep a backup of your private keys. AWS support teams are really the best bet for resolving account issues like this, so keep pushing for a response from them!
Absolutely! Ignoring those steps could lead to bigger problems. Just changing your password won’t cut it if the issue is serious; you need to follow through with all the security measures they suggest.
