Earlier this year, I noticed that my Beyerdynamic MMX 300 microphone has become incredibly quiet. Even with the volume set to maximum and boosted by +30 dB in Windows, plus using the Peace equalizer, it hardly picks up any sound. I've already gone through the trouble of reinstalling all my audio drivers and sent the headset for repairs, where they replaced the cable but said everything else passed the tests. Whether it's plugged into the single 3.5mm jack or the separate microphone and output jacks, the problem persists. My teammates on Discord can barely hear me even when I crank it up to 200%, and I can't afford to buy a new headset right now. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Have you tried adjusting the input volume in Discord? Also, check the noise suppression settings there. Sometimes just bringing the mic closer helps—how close are you holding it when you talk?
Check your sound settings in Windows. Sometimes Windows defaults to the USB input instead of HD audio, which could make your mic sound quiet and a bit hollow.
I noticed in Device Manager it's labeled as Microphone (Realtek USB Audio). How do I switch it to HD audio?
You just need to switch your input from USB audio to the high-definition audio device in the sound settings. If you're having trouble finding it, just type "sound" into the Windows search bar, and it should pop up!
I couldn’t find that option anywhere, and now after updating my BIOS, sound is only coming from the left side of the headset. I’m reinstalling my RealTek drivers and reached out to Beyerdynamic support. Appreciate the help!
I’ve set my input volume to 200% and turned off all the noise suppression features in Discord. Even when I talk right into the mic, it seems like they can barely hear me.
