Help! My Bluetooth Mouse Won’t Connect to My Laptop

I'm having trouble connecting my new Bluetooth mouse (ISY IWM 4100-1-WT) to my Microsoft Surface Laptop running Windows 11. The instructions say to connect it with a USB cable first, but I can't seem to get it to work wirelessly afterward. I've restarted both my laptop and the mouse, but it doesn't show up in my Bluetooth settings or device manager. Do I need to install a specific driver? I couldn't find any for this model. Any advice would be appreciated!

It sounds like your mouse should go into pairing mode after you hook it up via USB. Try looking for a button on the mouse to activate that mode. Sometimes, removing and reinserting the battery can help reset it. Just connecting it via USB might not do the trick. If it still doesn't show up, you might want to consider if it’s a legit brand since some cheaper options can be hit-or-miss.

Good call! I guess not all budget mice perform well. I had an experience with a cheap one that didn’t connect either. It’s always a gamble with some brands.

Honestly, you might be better off swapping it for a more reputable brand. I’ve seen a lot of fake or low-quality mice that don’t deliver, even when they look fine on the surface. It’s frustrating to spend money and get a dud!

Absolutely! I thought I was smart buying something affordable. Next time, I’ll stick to brands with solid reviews.
