Help! My Company Website Only Works on Internet Explorer and I’m Struggling

I've hit a snag with my company's outdated system that solely operates on Internet Explorer. While working from home, I've been using AnyDesk to connect because the website only opens on our office's IP. Recently, they decided to switch from using a CPU to a VPN, which is fine, but now I'm having issues. My computer runs on Windows 11, and for some reason, the IE compatibility mode in Edge isn't working for the site. It opens, but it's not functional at all. I even tried using the original Internet Explorer, but that didn't help either. Has anyone found a browser that can successfully run this site, or any solutions to get it working on regular Edge or IE? Thanks for your input!

You might want to check out the Edge policies. If you go to edge://policy, you could find settings that could help fix similar issues. We've had problems before where a file dialog in Edge just didn't work for a specific site but was fine in Chrome, and changing those settings resolved it.

You can actually run Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 11 using a VBScript. Just search for it online. But honestly, this isn't a real fix. Your company needs to modernize the app—they should reach out to the original developer for an update. It's 2025; relying on web apps that require IE is just outdated. If that's not an option, maybe consider getting a new developer to create a replacement app. It might be time to integrate those functions into newer software you already use too.

Yeah, it's wild that some companies are still stuck in the past with IE reliance. They're probably paying a lot for that outdated setup.
